How did we get here?
This disconnection has us unconsciously recreating the same destructive paradigm we're against because they taught us this was the path to SUCCESS.
The colonizer taught us to view our bodies as machines with unlimited energy so that we'd push through and hustle & grind.
They indoctrinated us to show up in ways that emulated them & expected colonial perfection instead of being authentic.
They implanted a colonial mentality that SEVERED US FROM OUR TRUE SELVES...leaving us vulnerable to manipulation.
While it may hurt to see this so clearly, facing these TRUTHS can also bring us CLOSER TO DIVINE ALIGNMENT and TO OUR SOUL'S PURPOSE.
While we may have fallen to the predatory forces & trickster energies that fooled us into conforming to fragmentation and destruction, we can remember our original templates.
We can reclaim the ancestral Earth ways and work in sacred & potent ways that bring forth a better world.
Your medicine doesn't need the colonizer's approval.

Saludos Beloved, I'm Dra. Rocío
I'm a Seer, a medicine woman in the Q’ero Inca lineage, & a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. I am also a mama, and a matriarch.
I walk and work in between the earthly and spiritual realms.
My previous work was as a therapist and a professor in the mainstream. For a long time I worked in the way we have all been programmed - disconnected & constantly producing and looping in perfection. Because like you, I was conditioned to believe that this is what brought us "security" and "success."
Overworking was my norm...until my body said no more.
Hiding my spiritual & psychic gifts felt necessary to survive in the western world.
This self-denial and fragmentation led me to a health collapse and I developed a chronic disability. While I had earned tenure as a professor, I was fired from my institution and it was this earth shattering experience that brought me back to the sacred ways. While devastating at the time, being fired (then rehired, then quitting...its a long story :]), was the best thing to happen to me. I now see that my ancestors took me out of this hostile environment because I was meant to help people remember the sacred ways.
My path now weaves ancestral ways and new ways to meet the prophecy of these times. My work is deeply rooted in Earth and Cosmic wisdom. I reject the oppressive colonial, capitalist, patriarchal ways. And yet, I know how we can easily fall to the programming because we've been taught to see it as "normal".
I am able to facilitate teachings & healing because of my medicine path in the Q'ero Inca lineage rooted in the love of our Earth Mother, and because I am aware that there was a time I did not have this consciousness.
That first-hand experience allows me to meet you compassionately because I see how much of our collusion is unconscious and is seen as "just the way things are", often masked as "progress." I deeply understand how much of a shock and disappointment it can be to awaken to colonial collusion and how what we need is guidance, truth telling, and compassion - not shame and judgment.
The vow I’ve taken as a medicine woman and the agreement my soul has made in this lifetime is to help restore harmony and balance to the world, personally & collectively. And that’s why I offer this work to you.
