The Truth we must face
We cannot hustle and grind our way to a new world.
You were taught that the only path to success and working is the colonial hustle and grind.
You were programmed to believe that to be successful, you must work in a way that comes at a cost to yourself, to your health, and to your relations. You were programmed to normalize exploitation, extraction, and fragmentation.
In other words, to normalize COLONIZATION.
We were conditioned to work in a way that severs us from our families, from our relationships, from the natural and spiritual worlds ~ and to even extract from our own medicine.
Beloved, this has been by design.
You have been unconsciously made to disconnect from Mother Earth, from the spirits, from your ancestors, and to work in rigid, linear, and dehumanizing ways ~ so that unbeknownst to you, you'd collude with a destructive agenda.
This disconnection from Mother Earth's sacred rhythms, and from your own, has us unconsciously recreating the same oppressive paradigm we are against ~ because they have called it SUCCESS.
While it may be uncomfortable to see this so clearly, facing these truths can also bring you closer to ALIGNMENT.

The colonial conditioning is.
You care deeply about a just and harmonious world. You are spiritual, energetically sensitive, and you do meaningful work.

The path forward
Sacred work requires working in sacred ways.
We can RECLAIM a rooted, honest, rehumanizing spirituality ~ and this can be the foundation of our sacred work, and even our spiritual businesses. So that instead of being complicit in destruction, we can align with the energies of the universe and of CREATION.
Birthing sacred work requires working in sacred ways.
Creating new worlds through our work and businesses cannot happen only through our minds, at our desks. We cannot break oppressive cycles with skills and strategies alone ~though those matter too.
To be sustainable, to imagine and create a new paradigm, it has to happen in our body, in our psyche, in our heart, in the energy we carry, and in our souls.
Our sacred work must be created sacredly ~ in relation with the Earth, the spirits, the natural world, and the unseen realms.

Saludos Beloved, I'm Dra. Rocío
I'm a Seer, a medicine woman in the Q’ero Inca lineage, & a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. I am also a mama, and a matriarch. I walk and work in between the earthly and the spiritual realms.
But it was not always this way.
I once worked in the mainstream ~ a therapist, a professor. And for a long time, I worked the way we have all been programmed to. Disconnected. Constantly producing. Looping in perfection. Because like you, I was conditioned to believe this was what brought us "security." What brought us "success."
Overworking was my norm. Hiding my spiritual and psychic gifts felt necessary to survive in the western world.
Until my body said no more.
That self-denial, that fragmentation, led me to a health collapse and a chronic disability. I was fired and lost my tenured position. And though it shattered me at the time, I know now that my ancestors took me out of that hostile place ~ because I was meant to help us remember the sacred ways.
My path now weaves the ancestral ways with new ways, to meet the prophecy of these times. I reject the oppressive colonial, capitalist, patriarchal ways. And still, I know how easily we fall to the programming, because we were taught to call it normal.
That is why I can meet you with compassion, and never shame. Because I remember a time I did not have this consciousness. I know the shock of awakening to our collusion. And I know what we need to come home is not judgment ~ it is guidance, truth-telling, and tenderness.
The vow I have taken as a medicine woman is to help restore harmony and balance to our world ~ personally, and collectively. That is why I offer this work to you.
