Meet your teacher and Guide

 Saludos Beloved, I'm Dra. Rocío

I'm a Mother, a Seer, a medicine woman in the Q'ero Inca lineage, a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. I walk and work in between the earthly and spiritual realms and I come from a matriarchal lineage, and have been facilitating healing for 25+ years.

My ancestors took me out of the hostile and toxic environment of academia, because it was not my soul's path. I left the institution that trained me because it could not hold the ancestral & visionary medicine I was born to serve.

For much of my public work, I felt too decolonial for the spiritual world, and too spiritual for the decolonial world. And, my ancestors let me know I was meant to forge a new path, and so I stopped trying to fit into either and created the world respected medicine I offer today. This has cost me, and still costs me, but I know I am not here to constrict myself into the mainstream and that I do not have to sell my integrity for success.

My path now weaves ancestral and new ways to meet the prophecy of these times, rooted in Earth and Cosmic wisdom and in the love of our Earth Mother. I reject the colonial, capitalist, patriarchal ways, and I also know how easily we fall to the programming, because there was a time I did not have this consciousness either. That's why I can meet you with guidance, truth telling, and compassion rather than shame. My vow as a medicine woman is to help restore harmony and balance, personally and collectively. That is why I offer this work to you.

Beyond the teachings, I offer prayer, ritual, medicine offerings, and ceremony for you, your lineage, and your medicine ~ at the level of Spirit. My students tell me the teachings are FELT at the level of the heart and soul and I know it is because of this. I am grateful for my ancestors and for the spirits who co-weave with me.
