Naming It Podcast: Mental Revolution; Decolonizing Our Minds & Embracing Our Indigenous Selves
Bedford and LaMisha are joined by Conscious Intuitive Life Coach, Dr. Rocio Rosales Meza. They discussed What’s Going On with white saviorism in presidential politics in the form of Marianne Williamson. During RealTalk, the hosts interview Dr. Rosales Meza and discuss her work in social justice and social media. Particularly they focus on the concept of decolonizing our minds and finding mental health through reclaiming indigenous practices.
I recently had a chance to talk to about all things decolonizing our mind with Dr. LaMisha Hill Ph.D. and Dr. Bedford Palmer Ph.D. on the Naming It Podcast. We got into so many issues I find myself having to go back to it, writing notes, and wanting to add more.
This is one of my favorite podcasts as it centers the voices of Black psychologists and folx of color. Please listen to hear our take on recent issues, on what colonial mentality is, how it shows up in our lives and some ways to combat it.

I think this is a timely episode as folx of color are feeling pressure to hide because of white supremacist attacks. This all settler colonial violence and impacts our spirit, our psyche. Don't allow it. You are far more powerful than they've led you to believe. And, together we are unstoppable!
I LOVE YOU AND I AM WITH YOU! ✊🏼💖 And, I'm curious what does decolonizing the mind mean to you?
