A New Paradigm of Care guides you to decolonize your practice and yourself as the vessel of care so that you can show up in the embodiment of holistic care & be able to co-create a sustainable, collective future in which we are ALL well.
1. I am clear about the need for therapists to decolonize their training so that they do not unconsciously colonize the people by providing care through a Eurocentric lens and practices that either exasperate problems or gaslight them.
We are here to bridge the gaps and help you bring together all the hours spent in trainings & certifications so that you can offer healing that is responsive to the needs of the people and the call of these times.
2. I actually disagree with the sentiments that we should throw away all your training. I don't believe decolonizing means that your skills should be discarded. I trust in your natural gifts & the skills you have developed through years of experience in the field. A New Paradigm of Care is here to help offer you guidance & mentorship to keep the skills you've attained that you know are helpful to your community AND divest from the practices that are colonial.
We are here to help you nurture your wellness, and your unique medicine so that you can bring your gifts to the world and facilitate collective healing & liberation, that includes you too.
3. I disagree with the rhetoric that states that you should be offering your healing practice in a way that serves the people but doesn't honor your needs. This is martyrdom and servitude and only transfers suffering, it does not end it. The truth is that for you to show up ethically in your capacity, your healing work needs to be sustainable. As big as your heart is, you need to make money, you need to work in a way that honors your energetic and emotional capacity. This is not just about mindset, but about somatics, and processing the emotional layers & colonial patriarchal programming that has us colluding with our own oppression as healers. This is the guidance and mentorship I offer to you.

Month 1: January 2023
Opening ceremony: Planting the seeds for A New Paradigm of Care: Sunday, January 8th, 1-4pm PSTRooting into the vision, calling in our healed & well ancestors and guides, intentions, getting to know each other, remembering why you started, seeing where you got off track, and grounding in your intentions moving forward.
Week 1: Envisioning & Embodying a New Paradigm of Care: Sunday, January 15th
To facilitate true healing, we need to remember sacred reciprocity. This means honoring balance in our work and our life so that we can serve as a clear channel for healing and the divine. We must remember right relationship and a connection to the Spiritual World, all of Creation. We must remember the importance of flowing & co-creating with life vs. adhering to limiting colonial, linear outcomes so that we can restore harmony. Rituals to support you throughout journey. Earth and cosmic practices for personal & collective wellness. Let’s explore practices that contribute to your wellness, that protect your energy, and that will allow you to show up for the collective sustainably. Honoring your emotional and energetic capacity is an ETHICAL issue.
Week 2: Colonization is the Root of all of our Unwellness: Sunday, January 22nd
We cannot be ethical healing practitioners unless we do decolonial work. In this week, we deepen the journey of unlearning toxic, colonial ways of working and how a colonial mindset has infiltrated our healing protocols and spaces. We also deepen into the reasons mainstream healing and therapy severed itself from our Earth Mother & spirituality.
Month 2: February 2023
Week 3: Unlearning the White Colonial Mind as a Practitioner: Sunday February 12th
We cannot offer ethical healing, unless we do the inner decolonial work ourselves. And so, unlearning Colonialism, Individualism, Fragmentation, Saviorism, & Intellectualization is needed to offer personal and collective healing that shifts our culture and co-creates a better world.
Week 4: How a Eurocentric model of therapy & healing contributes to more unwellness: February 26th
The western world has indoctrinated us into models of colonial therapy, and healing and wellness under the colonial capitalist patriarchy. We have been unconsciously indoctrinated into upholding oppressive systems by offering healing that teaches people to accept colonialism and tolerate abuse. We will unpack the Colonial Model of Therapy & how it contributes to more unwellness and imbalance in the people we work with and in our world.
Month 3: March 2023
Week 5: Unlearning & disengaging from disempowering narratives: March 12th
Western therapy colludes with oppressive narratives and hyperfocuses on pain. Let’s explore the ways that this causes more harm then good and why this is intentional. Offering healing from a place of power not the wounds, a Shamanic perspective.
Week 6: Dismantling a hierarchical, diagnostic, dehumanizing colonial therapeutic relationship: March 26th
How does this model of therapy and healing dehumanize the people we work with and disempower them. What are some alternatives and how can we navigate this without causing more harm? We will explore the importance of a collaborative healing relationship and the importance of co-creating with the people called to work with us.
Month 4: April 2023
Week 7: Why reciprocity & sustainability matter when facilitating healing & why this is an ethical issue: April 9th
Showing up when we are depleted is an ethical issue because the care we offer becomes compromised. Compassion fatigue, burnout, resentment do not offer true healing. These create an energetic imbalance, is out of right relationship, and leads to depletion of your life force, stagnation, imbalance and even disease.
Week 8: Unlearning martyrdom, servitude & saviorism & how this delays soul evolution and true healing: April 23rd
How these expectations and showing up in this disempowering narrative is related to colonial patriarchal trauma. Additionally, how this delays our soul’s evolution, blocks the expansion and depth of our medicine, and prevents true collective healing.
Month 5: May 2023:
Week 9: Being in alignment with healing: The energetics of reciprocal care: May 14th
The energetics of healing and the authentic embodiment of being a healing practitioner. Why our wellness matters and is essential to the healing relationship and the movement. The responsibility of caring for self as a community healer and why reciprocity is sacred and critical.
Week 10: Healing Money Trauma & exploring models of sustainable pricing for offerings: May 28th
Financial distress & financial insecurity should not be normalized amongst healers, our wellness matters too. Making the money we need is not out of integrity. Let’s explore models of sustainable pricing.
Month 6: June 2023
Week 11: Integrating spirituality without culturally appropriating: June 11th
Spirituality should not be off limits in therapy and in our healing practice, to fragment healing in this way is deeply colonial. Let's honor your spiritual gifts, unique medicine, and explore your ancestral lineage in your practice.
Week 12: Devotion to A New Paradigm of Care & Honoring your Unique Medicine: June 25th
Your vision for the way forward, for self and collective through your unique medicine. Embracing ease, abundance, vitality reciprocity and right relationship.
Closing Ceremony: Concluding our journey & honoring your continued journeying: July 2nd
Embodying the New Earth in your practice for collective and personal wellness. Communing with guides and healed ancestors for the journey ahead.

Meet Your Guide And teacher
For a long time, I tried to fit into the psychologist box and it nearly broke me. Hiding my spiritual gifts, forcing myself into a paradigm and pace of care that my body couldn’t keep up with, and extracting from my mind and body, finally resulted in a health collapse. I almost lost it all and I experienced a symbolic death, a dark night of the soul. I became ill because this wasn’t my path, because I was limiting my life force, because I was exploiting my body. Surrendering to this journey allowed me to go within to reflect on what got me there. Through an intense death and rebirth, I was able to identify the programming and the patterns that kept me colluding with my own oppression. I learned that I was forcing myself to tolerate a toxic work environment and had been indoctrinated into toxic work habits. I realized the heaviness I was feeling, and the physical pain that I was enduring, were related to trying to force myself to be in a way that was not natural to me, trying to push away my gifts, working and living in a way that honored everyone else but me, depleting my vitality because it is not where I was meant to be and how I was meant to live. I realize now that the physical symptoms I was experiencing were signs that were inviting me to shift into my divine purpose and embrace & honor all of who I am and this is the journey I invite you into.
Saludos Beloved, I'm Dra. Rocio
I am a Xicana/Mexicana Seer, spiritual guide, initiated medicine woman, & Counseling Psychology Ph.D., on the Ñusta Paqo path in the Q’ero Inca lineage. I come from a matriarchal lineage and my medicine is very much rooted in the feminine, in matriarchal medicine, and in the Earth and cosmic ways.
My work is potent because of the gifts and channel the divine has given me and because of the powerful ancestors, matriarchs, & guides that show up with me.
The purpose of my work is to support you on your journey and to provide guidance that cultivates holistic wellness, connects you to a deeper sense of spirituality, and brings you back to your ancestors, guides, and your own wisdom & medicine so that together we live in harmony and balance with all of Creation.
I have more than 20 years of professional experience as a healer & teacher, and am able to hold potent healing space for others as this is a skill in my blood lineage, with my abuelita and my mama as my greatest teachers. In my training as a counseling psychologist, I provided and practiced thousands of hours of therapy. While I decided against licensure, I value the skills I acquired through my practice and the mentorship provided by BIPOC psychologists, like Dr. Jeanett Castellanos, Dr. Thomas Parham, & the Godfather of Black Psychology, Dr. Joe White amongst others. The direct practice and mentorship I was honored to receive taught me a psychology & therapy that centered the people, an Indigenous worldview, and liberation.
My previous work was as a therapist and professor, but my path now weaves ancestral ways and new ways to meet the prophecy of these times. My work is deeply rooted in Earth and Cosmic wisdom. I walk and work in between the earthly and spiritual realms as a claircognizant, clairvoyant, clairsentient, and clairaudient. I come from a long line of healers and was born with psychic, channeling, and mediumship gifts.

1. Can I apply if I am not a therapist? Absolutely! This is for all healing practitioners and coaches who feel aligned and resonate with this work.
2. Are there scholarships available? At this time, we have exceeded our financial capacity to provide scholarships. We have come to understand the importance of financial sustainability for this work to flourish and for our needs to be met.
3. Can men and white bodied people apply? YES! This is for all people willing to show up for this work, are ready, and aligned with me and my work.
4. How will we meet? All sessions will be held virtually over Zoom.
5. Will recordings be available in the event I miss out on a session? While you will receive the most if you show up live, yes, the recordings are available for you as we understand sometimes this may be needed. Confidentiality is honored as a sacred agreement.
6. Do I get 1 on 1 coaching and personalized help? This is a group professional development program, though the journey begins with a 1 on 1 session with me so that I can get to know you and your work more deeply.

REFUND POLICY:
A new paradigm of care is a very small container. If you commit to a new paradigm of care, you're committing to the entire duration of the program.
You are asked to show up in right relation and integrity with me as the guide, and that includes honoring our agreements and payment as energy exchange. You understand that I am not a corporation and that this work is my livelihood and sole source of income for my family and thus paying is important to receive this offering.
There are no refunds or cancellations. Please honor this as a sacred agreement. If you decide to stop participating before the intensive, you remain responsible for completing your payments in full.
To preserve the integrity of the peer relationships that get cultivated, and because there are specific trainings that stack upon each other, we cannot accept new members after intake closes.
That means that if someone drops out part way through, we cannot fill their spot. Because the container is so small, there’s no margin for cancellations or drop-outs and so we cannot offer refunds. If you choose to stop participating before the end date, your payments are still due in full.
